Tanya currently has a charcoal drawing exhibition up at WFR until 23rd May, and she is holding this workshop to share her passion for charcoal drawing with those who are interested.
About the Artist
I am Tanya Spocter. Becoming an artist has been a long process of discovery. And it took me the larger part of my life to acknowledge that I am an artist. I enjoy drawing in charcoal, the feel of it, the way it’s messy and falls off the page, the way it sounds when making lines on the paper. I become part of my drawing. My drawings are intuitive and there is no set standard in which to draw. I believe that this is the way. And helps us all to find who we are in our art work.
I experience a questioning and healing and serenity through these drawings and wanted to share that with you. The works are untitled while in exhibition because I would like you to see and find your own meaning in these works.
