About the event

Join expert archaeologists from MOLA for a FREE 2-day training course for local residents and people invested in Woolwich in whatever capacity are welcome to join.

Over the two-days trainees will take part in practical activities and learn how to:

Read historic maps and investigate changes to your local area across the decades from 1800s to 2000s

Record heritage buildings and learn how to recognize alterations and think about what they mean

Engage in the social history of Woolwich and bring your own histories and connections to the fore front

No previous historic or archaeological experience necessary, refreshments and lunch provided.
