About the event
Anthotype & Cyanotype - Eco Photography Workshop at Woolwich Front Room
Sarah Garrod is an experimental photographer specialising in natural printing techniques. Join her for this hands-on workshop where you can explore the fascinating world of Anthotype and Cyanotype photography. This in-person event will take place at Woolwich Front Room, in the bustling town centre , a short walk from excellent transport connections at Woolwich/Woolwich Arsenal on DLR, British Rail, and Elizabeth LIne.
During this workshop, you will make cyanotype prints to take home. The cyanotype process is an early photographic technique that dates back to the 1800s. You will use sunlight, water and plants on light-sensitive paper to make stunning blueprints to take home.
After the break, you will learn about Anthotypes. We will prepare plant emulsions from scratch using non-toxic plant ingredients. You will be able to coat paper and take it home to continue your own anthotype…
