About the Project

Crafted Mind Collective (a registered CIC in the United Kingdom), Cz green (Based in Mexico) and Iwalewa Art Gallery (based in Lagos, Nigeria) are collaborating and simultaneously hosting Rethinking Rubbish - a dynamic Art and Design Upcycling Workshop and Exhibition.


Workshop & Exhibition Details (Woolwich, London)

Workshop Dates: Thursday 29th May (5:30pm - 8:30pm)

Venue: Woolwich Front Room, 105 Powis St, London SE18 6JB

Exhibition Date: 31st May 2025 (2:30pm-5:00pm)

Theme: Rethinking Rubbish - An exploration of upcycling and sustainability through art and design.


 Who Can Participate/Attend?

We invite all art enthusiasts with a flair for the unconventional to join us as we breathe new life into discarded materials and transform the overlooked into the unforgettable. Bring your passion, your wild ideas, and maybe a few bits of "junk", we'll supply the space, the inspiration, and a like-minded creative community.


Workshop Open to: Individual art lovers and the creatively curious aged 16+ (parental consent may be required for under 18s) Families welcome to collaborate on a single upcycling project.

 

The project is co-led by Oluwaseun Ademefun of Crafted Mind Collective CIC, London, Femi Williams of Iwalewa Art Gallery, Nigeria, and Adrian Gamboa of CZ Green, Mexico.
